SADNESS: ALL CATS ARE GREY

Post from Adrian:

For me, this has always summed up the 'emptiness' of loss. It has always felt slightly indulgent, like a guilty secret to be hidden away until one wants to wallow. I suppose that I was in another mental space when I first heard this (it crops up in Marc Almonds biography about his first time on E), but over the years it remains a powerful mood piece. Probably the second best track on 'Faith'.

Hi!

You're right about 'all Cats ... '
But I wasn't in a mental space when I heard it the first time, and still I can relate to your description.
It is a sad song .....

Completely agree, Adrian. I often put it on at night when I have a long drive. Very reflective and emmersive. Just me, my memories of people, and THE CURE...

Thank you.

'Faith' is one of the very few Cure albums I can play all the way through. And only ever post-midnight. It's bleak, colourless, depressing as hell. And all the more glorious for that fact.
