RE-ACQUAINTING YOU AGAIN WITH THE BEST NEW BAND OF 2012
I was very pleased that a number of you left behind favourable comments a few weeks back when I wrote about Father Sculptor.
Good news on two fronts. Their efforts to release new material every couple of weeks are still being maintained and this is the latest:-
mp3 : Father Sculptor - Dysmirror
One again the boys have got me quite excited....this one is a wee bit different from much of the previous material....a lot more emphasis on the keyboards and drums and at times darker, denser and almost gothic sounding. It's one that needs to be played at a very high volume and which will sound incredible when played live. Talking of which.....
Father Sculptor are going to be on some stages soon:-
September 15 - SWG3, Glasgow
September 20 - The Old Blue Last, London
September 21 - 93 Feet East, London
September 27 - Trof, Fallowfield, Manchester
November 7 - Stereo, York
The only disappointing thing from my perspective is that I'm committed to a family event on Saturday 15 September and there's just no way I can get along to SWG3. But I am going to buy two tickets anyway and offer them to one lucky TVV reader. Just answer this question....
Q : Father Sculptor's first gig was earlier this year at King Tut's...supporting which band??
Send your answer, with the heading of the email 'FATHER SCULPTOR CONTEST' to thevinylvillain@hotmail.co.uk by the closing date of Monday 10 September and see if you're lucky.
If you're struggling for the answer try having a look around Father Sculptor's website where there's a link available to a top quality download of Dysmirror and loads of other songs are available.....as well as a history of past gigs.
Cheers.
