A BRIGHTER BEAT... A MINI-FESTIVAL OF MUSIC
Four weeks from today I thoroughly recommend that you do your best to travel to the lovely town of Cupar in the kingdom of Fife for what will be a truly great afternoon and early evening of family entertainment.
Mike for Manic Pop Thrills is promoting an event called A Brighter Beat (and yup, it is after a classic single by Malcolm Middleton) and any monies made will go to support Kingdom Kids which is a charity whose aio is to raise and distribute funds to groups supporting under privileged and disadvantaged youngsters throughout Fife.
Mike is one of the hardest working Scottish bloggers and a very decent bloke as well. This latest venture into the promotion of live gigs is his most ambitious yet and the idea of it starting at 2pm and running till 9pm is to allow music-fans who might have young kids to bring them along and experience live music possibly for the first time. Mike has used all his initiative and many of the friendships he has built-up with Scottish musicians to put together a cracking line-up....it's like a mini-festival in many ways:-
Kid Canaveral
Cancel The Astronauts
Martin John Henry
TV21
Sam Barber & The Outcasts
The Bad Books
All for just £10.

Oh I should point out that all the performers will be cutting out any naughty words from their songs....so it's all safe for the kids!!!
