Released 27 April 1987. BEG 187, produced by Grant Cunliffe aka Grant Showbiz who is best-known as the live-sound man for years for The Smiths and producer of much of the best of Billy Bragg.
A Top 30 hit. Chart success at last!
Incidentally, although the original version of the song was recorded and released in 1966/67, it wasn't a hit in the UK until a re-release in 1974.

An absolutely dreadful cover which was the first thing I purchased by the gruppe.
usually you can never go wrong with The Fall. Still, could've been worse eg Papal Visit. Rubbish.
